Hi, I would really appreciate some help filing my dormant companies accounts for year ending 31/07/2018
Company information
Number of shares issued: 100
Aggregate values of shares issued: 1
There was money in the business bank account until 11/08/2017 (during the accounting period) at which point it was all withdrawn.
Could someone please advise what to put in the following fields:
Cash in bank and at hand - current period and previous period
Net assets: Current and previous (i think this might be automatic)
Issued share capital: current period and previous period.
Thanks so much!

money was "withdrawn" from the bank... for what purpose and by whom?
to be dormant there must be no significant accounting transactions.0 -

to be dormant there must be no significant accounting transactions.
This was by the owner / only shareholder as directed by the accountant. It was withdrawn as the business was no longer in operation so was withdrawn / transferred to a personal account.
Thanks!0 -
Why is the accountant not dealing with this? Surely that would be the safest way ... is the company going to be closed completely, or just left dormant?Signature removed for peace of mind0

Because as this is a money saving website I was hoping to draw on others expertise to help avoid the use of an accountant and ultimately save money.0 -

And I suspect the answer depends on whether or not you are closing the company for good, or leaving it dormant for a time.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
As above, you need to clarify whether you intend to continue on with the business as that could impact any advice given.
Public forum it may be, but some of what you are asking is chargeable time for an accountant so there may be a reluctance to provide free advice.May you find your sister soon Helli.

It is not really that such advice would normally be chargeable that prevents me offering free help, but rather that, in this particular instance, the OP has aleady sought and been provided with professional advice (which thay may later wish to rely upon) which, on the face of it, seems at best questionable given the brief details provided here.
I would like to believe that the professional advice already given to the OP was correct, perhaps because that professional had a far better understanding of the whole situation than anyone here can glean from the limited information provided., or perhaps the OP understands themself.
On that basis, the professional would be best suited to answer the OP's ongoing queries now.
Or, in the worst case scenario, I would not wish to be implicated, even as an anonymous poster, in providing help, free as it may be, to the OP given the situation they have previously been professionally advised to enter into. The professional got the OP into this situation; that professional should now either see the process through, or get the OP out of the situation, as the case may be.0
