Backdating PIP and Tax credits

I'm still waiting for my pip decision but looks like I will need to change from Tax credits to Universal credit due to needing to claim Housing costs. If I am awarded PIP what would The tax credits be backdated if the claim is closed? Am I right in thinking that there is no Universal credit element for being on PIP and would I just lose any backdating of the award?
I'm Ever hopeful!

I asked this question as I have a TC overpayment that I am paying back. PIP was awarded in July and backdated from Nov 2018 and TC claim ended in May 2019 and I thought PIP entitled me to the disability element of Tax Credits. Is that right? Can I ask that they reassess the overpayment?
