PPI Claim for Ex Bankrupt

Comments

You're lucky that they all turned you down because a) you're not allowed to make a complaint if they are pre-bankruptcy and b) there will be no records left.
If the policies are post bankruptcy, just pop your complaint in the post yourself.
Claims companies use the same stamps as are commercially available on the high street.0 -
Can anyone suggest a PPI claims firm that will handle my claims.
Someone who has had arrears, defaults, amounts written off or bankrupt should never use a CMC. The CMC will bill against the total amount paid out. Even if some or all of the money goes against unpaid debts. i.e. you may see nothing but will be hit wtih a bill.. I was Bankrupt almost 30 years ago but cant find a company that will handle my claims.
That is good to hear. Being a bankrupt doesnt mean you cannot complain. You can but only on post bankruptcy sales of PPI. Not pre-bankruptcy.Why couldnt they announce this at the start of the procedure ?
Bankrupts are only a very small proportion of people. Hence why its at the end and not the start.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). You cannot complain about PPI for any assets from before the bankruptcy, the money belongs by law to the OR
Post bankruptcy finance you canSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Your details are on the bankruptcy register forever and firms should always check the register. That and the fact it's illegal to do so and you'd generally not going to be that stupidSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

The right to claim vests with the OR (and they are claiming back PPI as assets).

Ok, thanks for the replies. Do I need to tell the bank or do I contact the OR? I made a claim, then found out about the bankruptcy thing so I didn't bother following through when they sent me forms to fill in but they have contacted me to say they owe me 2900£0

However, your most prudent move would be to contact the OR and tell them what has transpired. They will advise.0
