18866 - increased charges

I note that 18866 now says on their website etc.,that they charge .5p per minute from 1st June - although when I make calls the recorded voice is still saying 'zero pence per minute! Likewise the website says that calls to mobiles have gone up to 14p, but the voice still says '12p per minute'. Any comment?

Website still says free calls for me with 2p connection charge.

Are you perhaps looking at the charges for using with cable?

This appears to be the charges when you call via their 0808 or 020 access numbers. These rates are here. The rates if you dial via the 18866 prefix are here.

Thanks for the replies - you are right - I was misinformed by my husband who did not read the info properly, complained to me, and suggested I queried it on the chatline! You'd think I was old enough not to fall for this without checking - which I did, and found out the correct info just after I had posted my question. Incidentally (and this is true) following advice we bought an Orchid dialler and cannot speak too highly of the fast delivery, telephone help and a replacement box within 24 hours when it was found to be faulty.
