Speeding ticket?

Hi, so this is a bit of a long story and not something I ever expected. Today I was driving through my town after a long while, the last time I drove through that way was probably early 2018, i was on the main road which was always a 30mph road, as you’d expect considering it’s a road most commuters use. There is a school near by. Today I turned on to the main road from a side road (side road was 20 but main road never was), I was going under 30 according to the Speedometer. Soon in to turning onto the main road I went past a mobile speeding car which had two cameras on it. I didn’t think anything of it as I was under 30, until I reached a bit further to see a 30 sign suggesting it was 20 until then. I went back around and there was a 20 written on the other side of the road but not on my side or the road (3 lanes, two going opposite way with 20mph and the one I was in had nothing there). Everyone was going around my speed and only one car ahead slowed down drastically after passing the mobile speed camera. I later checked my dash cam records which show I was doing 26mph (having thought it was a 30 road). I tend to go below the speed limit usually anyway, as drivers around here are known for getting carried away and showing off. I know the limit for avoiding a fine is usually around 24, but is there anything that can be done? Especially as no signs / reminder signs were seen? I have showed the footage to a few people who all said they too do 30 down that road and it doesn’t seem a 20 at all. Not even a single sign suggesting 20mph when I check the whole main road via maps view. I am just really worried. What’s the Likelihood of getting a speed awareness course if I was doing 26?
Anyone ever been in a similar situation?
Insurance impact?
I have no previous endorsements.
Thanks

Sorry posted in the wrong place it seems, I’m not sure how to move it to the correct one either.

Was there a sign saying 30 when you went from the side road to the main road? If not then the main road must also have a 20 limit. Not sure if you'll get a speed awareness at 26, but I probably wouldn't rely on a dash cam speed reading anyway. Even if you do get points there shouldn't be much impact on insurance unless you are young and/or a new driver.

At 26, you should be offered points as the end point for course is 10% +9. You should be offered a course if yo've been nabbed if you haven't done a course of the kind in the last 3 years (offence dates is what counts).
