This weeks hm soup is leek, potato and veg
No cakes have been baked today (due to last week's weaknesses...) but I've still to make a wholemal loaf.

I don't have my day's planned exactly (I have found it works better for me this way), but this is what we're having next week.

    1)Potato and Onion bake
2)Garlic butter spaghetti, possibly with some leftover ham which is in the freezer.
3)Green thai curry (my daughter loves this, lol)
4)Something with beans as I have a few tins ()
    5)Pasta with leftovers (from freezer)
6)Lentil Quiche (never got a chance to make it before as I couldn't find the recipe once I'd posted!
    7)Something from the freezer.

  • My very favourite forum on MSE (quite unexpected, as I have always found cooking so hard, I guess planning is the key)

    OK -

Tues - Irish stew & dumplings (love Delia's recepie for this)
Wed - Belly Pork with pot wedges & HM coleslaw
    Thurs - DD2 cooking
Fri - fish pie & cabbage & creamed leeks
Sat - HM pizza, jackets & HM coleslaw
Sun - Roast chicken & roated root veg
Mon - OH cooking - fish cakes & mash & beans (try to keep it simple for him!!!!)

Am going to try to include some puds as we are being given lovely apples at the moment & all I can think of is apple crumble & apple cake - any other suggestions would be gratefully received????

    Love Suzi xx

    Hi everyone,

Well, i'm new to this game but need to sort out my debts so meal planning and spending (a lot) less on food is part of the way forward.

So, my meal plan for this week (using things up from the fridge and freezer):

today - i had leftover roast dinner from what i made on sunday

weds - bacon, mushrooms, eggs, tomato and waffles

Thurs - either a meal out (25 eating out budget for the month) or home cooking if can persuade them to come to my place. starter - butternut squash soup, main - not sure but ca come up with something, dessert - jelly or homemade cake, icecream

fri - either breaded plaice or scampi, oven chips, mushy peas, tartare sauce and ketchup

sat - cod baked with lemon, garlic and parsley, rice, mini corn cobs

sun - may get invited to in laws (to be) for tea. If not maybe a sausage casserole made with tinned tomatoes and bbq baked beans (never done this before, but sure I can cobble something together!), garlic bread.

    Wish me luck1

    Ali xx
