  • Hello everyone!
This is my first real go at meal planning so we'll see how well I stick to it!

Today- roast chicken, roast potatoes, carrots, cabbage plus apple and berries crumble.

The rest of the week in no particular order:

    Leftover chicken curry
    Pizza
    Vegetable chilli and rice
    Sausage casserole
    Mince beef and onion pie
    Tuna pasta
Worry is like a rocking chair - it keeps you busy but it gets you nowhere.

    £2014 in 2014. £0/£2014:)
  • Having a thick moment.....is that cheese with mash spuds or does it have a pastry top? Used to have that at school and loved it. How do you do it?

    Hi PP

I boil pots & onions until soft, mash with butter and cheese, put in dish sprinkle more cheese on top along with some sliced tomatoes and pop in oven for 20 mins. Then serve with sausages & baked beans. This is DS fave meal, he would eat it every day if I let him.

Didn't know you could do it with pastry  Do you just add pastry to the top of how I do it?

Ooh I just love reading everyone else's ideas - toad in the hole, yum yum I think that might be on next weeks list!!

Sat - pork curry (was supposed to be beef but OH can't read labels apparently and used the pork joint that I was going to use for Sunday's dinner!!!:rotfl: Still, loads left over so put in the freezer for another night
Sun - beef hot pot (!) instead of roast pork.....
Mon - Homemade hamburger and chips
Tue - Spagetti bolognese and garlic bread
(I notice there's a lot of beef happening here...)
    Wed - Homemade pizza
Thu - Chicken curry (or whatever OH knocks up with chicken)
Fri - Fish pie and veg

Currently trying to plan for December to make sure I don't overspend with Christmas coming up, so will keep reading old posts for more ideas. Also want to run down the store cupboard and freezer to reduce the expenditure
