Advice needed please

Hello all !

I have an outstanding credit with Egg and 0% BT rate will end in Sept. I also have a Barclaycard. I also have an existing credit with them. I am expecting to spend more the coming 4 months due to family coming over to go for a holiday in Europe.
I applied for a Sainsbury's visa card last Thursday bec of their 1 yr 0 % interest on purchases, and I was planning to use this to help me with the additional expenses i am going to incur. However, I was declined. Today, i just sent a letter for an appeal and will wait on what they have to say.

So in a nutshell, i have 2 issues : one is for my expected additional(holiday) expenses...do i go for Sainsbury's Visa or another CC ? Secondly, when my EGG BT expires, do I pay off my balance with barclaycard so that i can transfer from EGG or do i apply for a new card with 0% BT rate...and which one ?

Sorry for the long post...hope somebody can give me an advice...

There's no definitive answer until you can establish what the probable reason for you being declined by Sainsburys is.

It may be that you're unlikely to get credit from another provider, or worse, that you'll do more 'damage' to your credit rating by applying for more cards.

Seeing as you have time, I'd wait and see what Sainsbury's say...

Sounds like you will be moving to the "Debt Free Wanabe" site in the near future. If you havent got it, dont spent it. hope this helps, i'm hoping to be off that board in 2years, 3 months
