Hi There all,
Please could you guys in the trade give me some advice on installation & supply costs of a gas central heating system for a typical 2 bedroom bungalow (semi-detached). At present the house has economy 7 storage heaters so this would be a complete install (7 rads). I am currently modernising the house and it has all carpets, furniture and kitchen removed. The floors are concrete and walls are solid breeze block - also how would the plumber typically run the pipes, without floorboards ?.
Is it most economic / practical for the installer to supply all ?
location is hertfordshire.......
much appreciated......

Cheers for the advice Andy  , we was going to fit the new kitchen this weekend but have decided to wait as I guess its best to get the new central heating in first, then fit the worktops around the piping.0

I live in a mid terrace and have just had storage heaters removed and full heating installed. It cost £3300 which included 7 radiators and 1 chrome towel rail. The company removed all heaters and boiler for disposal (the council told me they are obliged to do this, although some dont), however there was no need to drill the floor as we have floorboards. The price we paid was exactly half of our most expensive quote which I think was Scottish Power. This also included an A grade combi boiler.
Hope this is of some help.0 -
Can anyone recommend somewhere I can get a cheap (but compliant) boiler and radiator system?
I know a corgi registered engineer who says he can get the required items but I told him that I reckon me (and my fellow MSEs) can get a system that will do the job at a better price... A little friendly challenge if you will.;)
I'm looking for a 7 Rad system and a combi-boiler which will heat a 2 bed bungalow.
Anyone?
PS. I'm updating the property before I put it on the market.0
