Yes you just boil it like potatoes. I will check with my Nan though and get back to you.0

Right, spoke to my mother - put it in boiling water, that has a teaspoon of salt and a spot of oil to stop it sticking. Cook for about ten minutes, same as potatoes. Eat while hot, it is much nicer.0

Since the starch from cassova is used for tapioca it might make a nice pud too.
I found this cake recipe:-
1 package grated cassava (about 8 or 10oz)
1 package grated young coconut (same amount as above)
1 stick butter, melted
1 egg, beaten
1 can evaporated milk
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Mix together the cassava and coconut, add melted butter then slowly
mix in egg and milks. Spread in a 9x11" greased pan to no more
than one-inch" thickness. Bake in 350 to 400 degree oven for 25
to 30 minutes or until top is light brown. just a note, it's very poisonous if not cooked properly, can give you cyanide poisoning, avoid it at all costs if on holiday in the far east.0
