Talking to builders they prefer to build starter homes, building dearer properties and the buyers tend to nitpick with tiny details.
They said the worst was upmarket properties where a retiree purchases it, said they have nothing better to do that go around measuring everything and finding faults.
Seems fairly common to lay a couple of inches of topsoil and then stick the turf over that, but the topsoil then settles or some gets washed away and its rubble.
The soil may not have the nutrients required also. But you wont get a perfect lawn as everything is still settling.
Just think of how many JCB's and forklifts have compacted the soil beneath.. Try putting a spade in and see how deep you can get it.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...1 -
