Crohns Disease and PIP

Hi,
It has recently been confirmed that i have crohns. i have been managing the symptoms for nearly 2 years now, and this has became the norm for me. For those of you that have it you will know what i mean about the urgency when it flares, the diet implications and the always knowing where the nearest toilets are lol.
Now i have been advised to apply for PIP, now i dont feel disabled and almost feel like a cheat for being able to apply, can anyone advise thats been in a similar situation and whether its likely to be successful.
My mother was recently accepted for PIP and i feel in no way comparable to her limitations due to ill health.
Thanks for reading

You will need to read the PIP descriptors because its not about the condition or the diagnosis, its all about how its affects you in day to day life.
No one could comment on whether you would be successful or not.0 -

He feels he is 'cheating' because he doesn't feel his illness qualifies him as disabled (although it may and I suggest he sees what he can get)
Comparing him to CEO's and politicians is completely irrelevant. it is based on the level of care and mobility only. You could be a CEO and a politician and claim the maximum PIP.0
