HomeBuyers Report AT THIS STAGE REALLY???
Comments
-
Makes a lot more sense now we know the first was a mortgage valuation. I wouldn't worry - when we've bought before we've instructed our own local surveyor to do a Homebuyer's, rather than 'upgrade' the mortgage company's valuation to a Homebuyer's. This meant two survey visits for the vendor.
Agree with the letitbe90 that your buyer sounds pretty keen and, if so, you could try standing firm on price if they try re-negotiating after the survey.0 -
My buyer wanted a survey in around Week 9 or so, despite saying earlier they weren't having one.
Let's just say I spelled it out to the EA that if it was a tactic to drop the price so late on, they could go whistle!!!!
They reassured me it wasn't, and they then wanted a structural engineer round which cost them hundreds, and they still didn't drop the price.
As you now know, the first was a valuation.2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -
What stage should they do it at ?HomeBuyers Report AT THIS STAGE REALLY???
Before the mortgage co has valued it and they've got an offer? Not a good idea.
After they've exchanged? No that wouldnt work.
So, probably about, errrmm, now?0
