Help with Scottish Power

I need some help with Scottish power. We moved house in October and advised Sp of this on the 12th November and provided meter readings . We were told that they us money. We chased it after hearing nothing and we then received a bill £1170 ???? . We have have been arguing this out ever since and still getting different answers. We have dates , times of phone calls , names copy of emails . In Feb were were told again that they owed him s money £342 and the account was closed and a cheque on its way . Still no cheque and now a bill due £900 + ??? They have even told us that we couldn’t have been told that information in February. Customer services don’t read e mails properly or can’t wven give me a satisfactory answer as to why we have been given incorrect information. I have asked them to listen to the calls but they seem to be carrying out that request. It has me so stressed I have time of work . Really need help

On what basis are you disputing the latest bill you have received?

You can get a copy of any telephone calls if the supplier still has those recordings. If you can prove by these that any mis-information was provided to you previously that may have a significant adverse affect on you, they might give you £25 goodwill if you complain - which will be offset against what they claim you owe them.

A written letter - forget email, forget phone calls - headed COMPLAINT.

Basic info - account number, address, meter readings, dates.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
