At risk of redundancy

Options
I have just been notified that I am at risk of redundancy with individual consultation due to start this week and a likelihood of redundancy in July.

What benefits am I likely to be entitled to?

I have just done an online calculator and it seems that as my husband is already retired that I am limited as to what I can get.
£119.77 plus £119.77 Council tax benefit per MONTH. Is this correct, I still have a mortgage to pay and have paid into the system for 39 years!
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

You should also get job seekers allowance.

I think there are two types one where you have made enough contributions and one that is means tested.

The first one is about £300 a month and runs out after 6 months.

The second is harder to get as it depends on your husbands income.

How long have you worked for your employer, and is there any history of them paying more than statutory redundancy?

How much is remaining on your mortgage?
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

Thank you both for your responses.

I have worked for my employer for 15 years and I will get more than statutory but not enough to make a dent in the mortgage. I will need to use some of it to pay off current debts, and I need to consider replacing my car so that I will be able to travel to work as my current one is 14 years old and thirsty. Although I do live in a town a lot of the work can be more rural. My husband is in receipt of a state pension and a small work pension. Obviously I will use the redundancy to live off until I can get another job.
