Hi,
Im going to benidorm this year, start of July. I want to go to Tera Mitica and Aqualandia but have a few q's.
1. In Aqualandia can you wear a t-shirt on the rides and pools?
2. How far away are the two places?
3. Are there any other fun things to do apart from get drunk and top up the tan.
Thanks for your help, if anyone can help.

Take a walk into the "old town" with it's narrow streets and "real" spannish shops, the views from up at the penninsula are beautiful, you can look back to your left and see the lavante beach and towering hotels and look right to see the other beach (can't remember the name ) i think there's a church/chapel up there too. lovely place for a bite to eat and a cerveza whilst watching the world go by............................................................................................................... god it's like i'm almost there lol.0

On Saturday's there is also a fairly decent market, which should keep you occupied for an afternoon, but, keep a tight hold of your handbag because it can get very busy which makes it easy for the (very) occasional purse swiper.
When I am on holiday, I usually have an early-ish breakfast at a cafe and ask the owners/staff what they suggest for things to do.
Hope you have a good time am jealous as have 16wks till my hols."And crawling on the planet's face,
Some insects called the human race,
Lost in time, and lost in space,
And meaning"0 -
thank you for all your input, i will probabaly do everything mentioned, sounds great. Im just a bit worried about aqualandia and t-shirts.0

Terra mitica definitely worth the day out - great fun. It is very hot if you go during the day so take some water. Food is crap and overpriced though so eat before you go. Buses can be a bit unreliable to get you there. They kept driving past us and even he Spanish girl waiting for it seemed baffled. We ended up taking a cab.
Personally I though the aquapark was absolute pants and not worh the money. Half of the slides were not in use when we went (last august)Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -
Just got back today, Terra Mitica was still empty, which surprised me as it was half term here last week and Benidorm itself was quite lively. Should have waited and got the afternoon pass instead of buying the 3 days for the price of 1 offer from Keith Prowse. we did go back for a second day but really only because we had the tickets. It was really starting to warm up, 32C yesterday.
Didn't go to the Water Park but most of those I have been to don't like you to wear shirts on the slides they usually quote safety as the reason. My wife was allowed when she was pregnant but that is probably a bit drastic !!0 -
Hi we went to Benidorm last May we stayed at Fiesta Park Hotel. We went to Terra Mitica Park with FREE tickets (ask your rep)!! Or failing that ask Reception in the hotel. We made our own way there only had to pay for a local coach, to take us straight there and picked us up at about 5.30pm.(about £2.50 each). Talk about money saving!!!
Rides were all free we were gob smacked. Great place, loads to do and very clean.Take your camera.
Drinks are very very expensive. We took a packed lunch with us and they confiscated it on entrance to the park (there are people checking you when you got in). If they try this with you tell them you are diabetic and you'll be okay.
Tip : Try and smuggle in some bottled water in your bag as it gets very hot.
Don't let the Spanish kids push in the queues, there buggers for it.......
Have a great day and a good holiday. :beer:0 -
thats cleared a lot up for me. The aquapark does not sound good so i wont bother. I dont like to go ''topless'', im very self conscious. Tera mitica sounds good so i think ill do that. Im jus gonna go and get wrecked of course on a moneysaving style. How should i take money, should i take all cash, or some cash and euro travellers cheques, or some cash and stirling travellers cheques for a better rate. Thanks for all your help so far.0

In the exchange I used they seemed pleased my travellers cheques were sterling and not Euro ones. I believe Euro ones can be harder to change which seems strange but that was the impression I got.
The best rate I got was using my NatWest Switch/Maestro card in a cashpoint, despite a £9:40 fee, on a withdrawal of 300 Euros, the net rate was better than I got for my T/Cs. Downside of this could be that if the m/c swallows your card you're stuck with no money.0 -
