No one appears to have mentioned the "P" word!!

They are definitely in the affordable bracket, and I've been very pleased with their beachwear.

Not sure if they have your style, but might be worth a look.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

Have a look online at Everything £5. You have to sift through some really weird stuff but they sell off end of line items from all the high street shops. Since I took early retirement 16 months ago I have bought almost solely from them and charity shops - got some great bargains!

    Another vote for them.
You have to prepared to spend time searching as some of the things that haven't sold are weird, but I've bought plenty from there.
Cardigans are just as good as those in M&S for 4 times the price.

I've also sent a few items back and whilst you do have to pay postage, they processed it efficiently.

There was someone on TV the other day talking about how successful Primark is.
They've just opened a new massive store in Birmingham.
I mentioned them to my OH years ago when This Morning were doing clothes awards and Primark won several categories.
I said whenever we went in a store it was heaving.
He bought some shares (AB Foods, I believe) which we still have and have been pretty good investments.

Well I’ll just go right out and say it, Primark! I’m late 60s, my daughter 30s and granddaughter 12. We all love a bit of Primarni!

Underwear, sleepwear, beachwear, knitwear all cheap as chips and surprisingly good quality. You have to trawl round the other stuff but there’s plenty that I like.

A trip up to Manchester specifically for a raid on Primark!

I also endorse Tu at Sainsbury’s. I’ve had some very nice summer tops from there.

I will look at Everything £5.

I go to a lot of chazzers, I'm lucky as we have quite a few of them in London. I saw an Osprey hand bag in there for £1 the other day.

I did buy a White Stuff top from a charity shop recently and thought it was very thin material and poor quality. Maybe I was just unlucky.

I hate TKMaxx. It’s like a jumble sale!

I think it varies, probably depends on the quality of the management.

I like my summer clothes from everything5pounds... charity shops and h&m are also good.
I'd happily spend more on work clothes, but holiday garments just have to be made with natural fabrics. I have bought linen and cotton garments from e5p last season.

Buy your summer clothes in the sales in autumn or winter, & winter clothes in spring or summer. You can get expensive stuff cheap. I picked up a lovely classy black coat recently from House of Fraser reduced from £129 to £38, & a navy blue one from Debenhams for the same price. Or if you see an M&S outlet, they're cheap too. I got a Per Una Stormwear for just £19! I'm going through a coat phase right now.
