Student/firefighter

Hi newbie here,

i was watching GMTV the other day, when Martin Lewis was on

he mentioned that students, who are children of firemen, can claim a grant of some sort or can claim some money

but i had only just heard it for a secon and didnt hear anything else
im currently a student and my father is a fireman

does anyone know anything about this, or if this is true or not, if it is does anyone know how to go about it??

Try looking through FunderFinder (your careers service should have a copy of the programme - there was talk of it being made available online - not sure if it has yet) - there are lots of little gems like that...

Yeh I haven't found anything yet.

I will go ask finance people tomorrow maybe.

Sadly I'm the wife, rather than daughter of a firefighter (well actually I'm quite happy to be his wife lol), but know a few guys who'd be interested in this. I'll do some searching
