Loft Insulation Grant
I am just wondering if there are any Government grants or schemes at the moment for free/reduced rate loft insulation.
We are looking to get ours done as soon as possible, we live in a 1930's semi detached, just had a new boiler but have loft insulation, the house does get pretty chilly so it is something in which we really need to get done.
I saw that a few years ago there was a loft insulation scheme but cannot really find anything on it now. Just wondered if anyone knew of anything?

You could try your electricity/gas supplier to see if they have any schemes running or possibly look for discounts at Wickes, B&Q etc.
Generally the schemes that did run only allowed for insulation where there was none, or a minimal amount, they would come and survey first and wouldn't supply extra to top up.
Even my 85 year old Mum couldn't get hers topped up so I just did it it myselfNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
