Electoral register

Moving into new rental property (different county) in two weeks, then staying there for six months whilst looking to buy. If we change our details on the electoral register, and it's only updated every December (which I've read somewhere), won't this affect our credit checks if we buy, say, this September?

You can do it online and then update it again next time you move. You don't need to wait for the paper update to come through the post to make any amendments. The paper one is the record of that particular property's occupants at that given date. You can amend that too when it lands up. Once you've settled permanently the paper one they send out every year will be up to date.0

Thank you - but will the address be different on the electoral register to the rental I will be living in ... or am I being silly?0

Either what you read was simply wrong or you misinterpreted it (admittedly there are some places where it's not entirely clear. This is the actual situation:
"The full register is published once a year and is updated every month."

Although it doesn't actually say so on there I would be rather susrprised if credit reference agencies don't have access to the monthly updates.0 -
Ah yes I think it's me thank you0
