Taylor Wimpey Easymover

Hi there,

I’m new to this so I hope I’ve put this in the correct place...if not any help would be greatly appreciated 😊! My question is:

Has anyone used Taylor Wimpey Easymover and not sold their house on time? My partner and I reserved a plot and used the Easymover scheme as we were told the reservation couldn’t go ahead otherwise. We accepted this and our flat has been on the market for almost 8 weeks now. At the end of the 8 weeks, Taylor Wimpey have said the Easymover could either be extended or we lose our reservation but they haven’t decided one way or another yet what they’re going to do. I’m just wondering if anyone else has had this experience? And if so what happened next?

Thanks!! 😊

    Hello, I am
Just wondering what you did? As I am thinking about the easy mover scheme but the worry of not selling my house in the correct time is putting me off as I could lose my house. Thanks

Do TW not offer a part exchange scheme?

We part exchanged with David Wilson Homes and we were in our new house in under four weeks. We didn't get quite as much as we could have on the open market but when we factor in the fees we didn't have to pay and the stamp duty that the developers paid we were not far adrift at all.

We sold our house in May this year via EasyMover (a scheme where TW market your house and pay your EA bill) - the day before the deadline and in the end had three offers.
Did you put your house on the market at the agreed price? We asked them to let us advertise it 10k more and we got what they said we would get for it.

Some people have stated should you consider PartEx. I have not yet found a TW site that offers both PartEx and EasyMover. I think that EasyMover is used on sites that are selling really well and PartEx are on sites that they have more stock. EasyMover costs them less I guess!

Easymover was managed by a provider called New Homes Group who reported back to TW daily. Generally, if you were doing everything you could to entertain a sale, they left everything open, but if they get to the point of selling out of properties, they will.

I do think that if a property is struggling to sell, its a price issue. Although I know that it does go very quiet in August.

Do have a look at comparable properties within a mile of your home and see how you compare. When doing this, be objective, don't sit there and say my house is worth more..... In the days of Rightmove, people just click past you and they won't be bothered to understand why your property is X more than the one two streets away.
