I got a new computer loaded with Vista yesterday.... am slowly getting the hang of it but I have hit a problem.
I used the link in Vista to download Windows Live Messenger but everytime I try to run it the Data Execution Prevention in Vista closes it! I have tried to switch the DEP off but it wont let me switch it off cause Messenger is a windows programme!
Can anyone help please?

Right click on the menu entry and remove it.
Go to https://www.windowslive.com and get Live Messenger, Live Mail and Photo Gallery. They're basically updates to Vista which MS decided to make available to XP users as well.0
