If you have one of these handy gadgets and are flying out of an Indian airport - international or domestic- make sure you have it in your hand luggage and be ready to demonstrate how it works.
I nearly missed a flight having to go to security in the basement of Delhi airport. They were convinced I had a cigarette lighter....
Other things that should be in hand luggage are spare batteries (esp lithium) & power banks /packs .
Clocks, torches etc seem fine

Last time I flew out of an Indian airport they confiscated my spare batteries that had been in hand luggage.0
