Agree with JG. They were ok with you saying you can't do the training until July when they interviewed you but now all of a sudden they're not?
I think it's probably worth seeking specialist advice.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -

Can the OP prove they said they wanted to do the training after July?
If not then its quite a simple defence by the employerDon't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -

However they asked her to do the training before they knew she was pregnant?
So the requirement was there to do the training.0 -
You may have a case but having gone through a discrimination claim with my wife several years ago which took over a year to finally settle (on the day before she was due to go to a tribunal) don't take any such action lightly.
The process is supposed to be relatively easy but don't underestimate the amount of stress that can be caused by a difficult employer.0 -

That's often the tricky bit. If the employer kept notes of the interviews then it may be possible.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -

True. Though we don't know what the training is, who else is doing it, did anyone else refuse, would they have dismissed a non-pregnant employee n the same circumstances etc etc.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
Could be a family member borrowing someone's MSE account - wouldn't be the first time that's happened on here. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Doesn't the rules state that it's one person one account? Most places do
What's the difference between borrowing somebody's account and posting the same information for a friend, as so often seems to happen? Same information, but one way complies with the rules and the other breaks them. I find it much easier simply to answer the questions posed than to seek to catch people out.0 -
What I take from all the information here is that you'd obviously been trying to get pregnant having a wife and all, it wouldn't happen accidentally. So you decided to try and make it look like they're firing you for being pregnant to get that sweet unfair dismissal cash.
Not all married people want to have babies and not all babies are conceived intentionally.
I was a mistake and I'm the fourth!0 -
Op is either bulls* or has some odd circumstances
She has a wife and kids, is 18, and pregnant. And also bought a house a couple of years ago. Also her username implies she was born in 1989.
If this is all true, disregarding the username year, then I'm sure your wife has a great job and you'll be able to move on to another job soon enough.

Wow. That is rude. You know nothing of me and my situation. You just sound extremely bitter for some reason. No idea where the kids come from because last time I checked I had none.
Also you don't know what 1989 means. You cannot assume it means a year. It could be my favourite number 9 3 times? 1+8=9, and 9 twice. Or it could something else.
You know some people have different circumstances, not everybody has a good upbringing and a perfect life like yours must be..... For all you know I could have inherited a lot of money from a horrible accident or family incident and brought a house with it? But you presume because I am young I am not allowed to be in that position in life and I chat breeze about it. Or like everybody else I have a bad attitude. No I am sick of people discriminating due to life choices because they aren't the same as what it was in the 70s or 80s. no wonder us millennials have such a hard time now0
