We were approved subject to valuation with Barclays too. Happened within 48 hours.

The formal mortgage offer will come once Barclays are happy with the value of the property and the amount you have offered / had accepted i.e. they are both the same. Shouldn't be too long for you now!

Forgot to add, I don't have any hard searches yet on my credit reports, though I do have a credit search showing on Noddle.

I think the various credit reference agencies take time to update their records. It'll appear in due course.

Thank you everyone! Oh great so looks they have already done a search just not showing yet, not that I have anything to worry about as we both have a good credit file!

So looks like we will just have to wait now for them to receive the valuation report fingers crossed no issues, we think we're getting a bargain for the area so let's just hope they agree

Valuation carried out yesterday, mortgage offer in the post today ������ so guess they agreed!!

Wow just reading through some posts and seems quick with Barclays. MA has given me 3-4 weeks. It's only been since Tuesday and I've not heard anything!
As he gave the timescale mentioned, I'd feel bad 'checking in! Such an anxious time.

Got my offer (remortg) in 2 weeks as well, i think they have 2 working day timescale to reply to each update/app
