Wasp nest in cavity wall

I noticed today wasps entering and leaving a small hole in the exterior wall of the house which I think is an old injection point for cavity wall insulation. I've bought some foam wasp nest killer and was planning to spray later this evening as recommended on the can but do you think it would better/safer to leave it to the middle of the week when the weather will be cooler and wasps presumably less active?

Is the location of the wasp nest a danger to anybody or is it high or out of the way?0

It's about 6ft up next to the garage door, ordinarily I'd walk right past it to get to the driver's side of the car or the back gate. As of this afternoon I now take the long way round.0 -
Foam is really for insertion into the nest. As you have it now I would spray a short shot into the hole each morning for a week, beating a hasty retreat each time.
They will get it on their feet as they land outside the hole and drag a bit in to the nest.
It will splash back. As well as your clothing to protect against being stung wear eye protection.
After that point up the hole with mortar.0 -

Thanks for the advice, regular squirts until there are no more wasps soinxs like the way to go.0 -

Just wondering why you suggest a morning spraying?
The instructions say evening and I am lead to believe that you should wait till all the wazzers are in bed (at dusk) before 'treating' them.0 -
Well if you are using the foam you want to keep the hole damp to stand some chance of the permethrin being carried in.
Powder would be more effective and less messy in this situation, just puff into the holes once a day, without breathing it in of getting it on eyes/skin.
Wilkos sell the powder cheaply.0 -
If the wasps aren't causing a danger by actually stinging you (as opposed to 'might'), just leave well alone. For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0
