Water in light casings

I have noticed a few tiny droplets, like condensation droplets in the left indicator light casing. It’s just the tiny indicator flasher on the side of the car, in front of the door. Not at the front, it’s the small indicator light , I refer to.

Ive noticed little water drops on the inside of the plastic casing. I assume it’s got in after the car was washed, it’s just been serviced too, so they could have tampered with the lights at the time. But it looks like it’s been put on pretty tight not signalling that the cover is loose? slightly concerned it could affect the electrics, but I am unsure if I should just see if it can dry out? Should I go to the garage and get them to take off the casing and dry the inside of the plastic cover, or wait to see if the sun dries it out ? It does not look like a lot at all.

Are there any chips in the light glass? Sometimes a stone hits, knocks a chip out (likely a big chunk behind but a tiny piece in the front). Water then gets in.
Or - the bulb holder isn't seated properly?

I can not see any cracks or chips to let water in. It’s odd, perhaps my best bet is to get the casing taking off, just like you would do to change the bulb, dry it and place it back on, and see ?

I wouldn't worry too much about it.

You could see if the sun dries it or if you have a bit of spare time take it out and leave it in the sun with the bulb removed.

If it's a tiny amount it could have condensed from the air but it's unlikely to do any real damage, at least not for a long time. If it does, the whole units are usually less than a tenner to replace anyway.

Depends on the car. I've had a few Land Rovers, and I don't think any of them *didn't* have this problem. If there is damp in the lamp interior, the bulb holder will corrode eventually, but as said above it is not an expensive problem.

How do you change the bulb in this side repeater?

Does the lens just remove from the body? If so, it's probably just the seal. Might just need cleaning and making sure it's properly seated.
Or does the entire unit come out and the bulb go in from the back? If so, it might be the seal on the bulb, or it's more likely to be the glued/plastic-welded joint between the lens and body leaking.

As said, it's very likely a complete replacement's cheap.

Thank you for your help. I think waters got in from a jet wash probably, and the seal needs replaced. I assume the casing can be removed dried and then replaced and sealed. I’m unsure if you do it from the inside of the car or the outer side. It looks like it is slowly but surely drying out with the sun.

I have a years warrantee on it, it’s a new Peugeot and I noticed it when I got it home from the dealer and emailed them immediately. They said they’ll cover it if anything goes wrong on the electrics. But suggested it would be fine to leave. Just a bit worried if it rains or gets washed again water can get in. If the seal isn’t fixed
