Please help - website security certificate issue

When I try and log into Cahoot (my bank), I get a window saying there is a problem with the site's security certificate. There is an option to 'ignore this message' but when I click that, I get a 'general system error' (the URL bar highlights in red) and it won't go any further than this blank screen.
I have also had the same problem with Hotmail (intermittently though). I've logged onto both from work, so I know it's an issue with our laptop.
I've tried removing the s from https as suggested by some sites when I Googled the problem and that didn't work. Cahoot couldn't help, and Tesco our ISP also couldn't help.
I'm sure someone on here will know what to do to make this work - please?

Thanks so much - yes we do (or at least we did until we had loads of problems with it and I uninstalled it!).
I checked the link you posted and the answer was on there - somehow I had managed to change our calendar to 2008. I've changed it back and it's been fixed.

Just want to add thanks to this post, was having problems signing in to loads of websites I use and just checked my calender problem solved, now I'm off to blame oh who had changed it (I know this as it was set to the date the car insurance runs out and that is the sort of thing he is always checking) and he had the cheek last night to say a bad workman blames his tools like it was my fault!0
