Car boot Easter Sunday

Options
Hi, I am thinking of doing a Car boot this Easter Sunday. Has anyone done one on this day before? I am not sure if buyers will stay away as it is a religious holiday. The weather is looking lovely so would really like to try it but should I wait till the week after?
thank you

Ardent bootfairers will always turn out on a bank holiday weekend & it's like a day out to many folk. I used to love visiting boot fairs on bank holidays before I became disabled. With the weather this weekend practically being guaranteed there should be plenty of people with plans to visit boot fairs.

Good luck if you do decide to do one on Sunday.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Hi Cattie, thanks for encouragement. I only had doubts because it is Easter, and I did not want to do all the work and end up bringing it all back for lack of customers.

I`m going to one on Sunday and the religious holiday would not deter me. Hope you do well. Dont forget the suncream!
  • I'm a dedicated car booter (buyer) and the two worst days of the entire year are Easter Sunday and Mothers day. I will be sleeping in on Sunday.

If your local car boot does a bank holiday Monday, I'd be thinking of going there then.

Speaking as an athiest to me tomorrow is just another Sunday and I will be headed to a car boot.
It's one of only two days in the year when hundreds of sales assistants are guaranteed a holiday, I wonder how many people turn up at shopping and garden centres on that day?
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

Locally our car boots are heaving on Easter Sunday, shopping is now a national past time and if that's all that is open then that's where people will go. Many even drop in on the way to traditional family meet ups .

I have no car boot buddy so can't do any again this year but am selling bulk lots locally to car booters who are desperate to have full stalls and extra stock as they expect this Sunday and Monday to be the best selling day of the year.

I suspect it might be a local thing, we are a heathen lot in Greater London so more likely to carry on as usual.

Easter Sunday car boot near me is always heaving, very busy with both sellers and buyers.

Owing to the weather I am thinking about going to sell the garage could do with another good clear out, but atm I cannot get my head around getting up at 4am!

Hi, Got to the field at 7 am, it was already filling up.
There were plenty of sellers and more importantly buyers. It being early in the season the buyers were eager but still haggling like mad over 25 p. We did quite well so I am pleased we decided to do it. thanks to everyone for replies.
