I would think once a company announces a winner they would have to honour the prize??
I could be wrong...I often am :rotfl:
Maybe better to post before the draw is made
I think you're right. There's no tangible proof and sadly, mercilessly scamming old people doesn't mean they can't grab the prize. Why do mice have such small balls?
Because so few of them can dance.0 -
I would guess that they could legitimately redraw a winner, IF it's clear that they entered with more than one identity - as long as the rules state only one entry per person/household.

Someone on FB has said the other day that every time they see their names pop up on a competition, they are going to post the BBC link under their entry and tell everybody what they have done.
I don't know if that will sway the people running them to ignore their entries, but each to their own I suppose.
Personally, I was just getting hacked off with them posting about the son or each other before all this came to light.

People have always cheated in competitions sadly. I find it incredibly sad that they even find the time for multiple accounts, I can't find the time to enter all I want from just one!!
I don't think you can prevent companies from handing out prizes to them unless you have evidence they have cheated though ... posting the above article is pointless, people aren't required to have a CRB check before they win a prize.A closed mouth gathers no feet.0 -
Doesn't have to be competition related, past behavior/conduct of a "winner" that could bring the product/service into disrepute is enough for some companies to disqualify whether they specifically have it in their T&Cs or not. (A company handing out prizes to say Paul Gadd is not going to do their image any good)0

sadly there are always going to be people like this. Personally I don't know how they find time to enter each competition multiple times! I hate that social media has taken over comping - take me back 10 years lolThanks to everyone that posts :T:money:
