Halifax cuts saving rates

Hi
Do'nt know whether this has already been reported and i have missed it,but have just read that Halifax has cut 0.25% from some off its a/cs.
Web saver,Instant saver and Premier savings direct.

think u should quote the full article which states "some savings rates have been decreased by UP TO 0.25%", with some savings rates having been increased.

Last 'tinkering' I remember they added tiering into the accounts. Now they've slashed the rates (after not passing on the full rises before), and created another account that looks like a turkey.
Presumably too many were using websaver accounts with a low current account balance as a treasury type system.0 -

HAHAHA, why £1.00?
It's one withdrawal per year, but if you decide to withdraw say for the second time - you would lose 30days of interest for the money that you withdraw. Is that right?
I am tempted to open one (Not £1.00 :P ) and put some money in at about 1% extra than the variable rate. Besides that, i can also try my luck with that lucky draw - Santa might give me a christmas prize :rotfl:0
