Identity Fraud

Options
Not sure if this is the right place for my problem but here goes.

I just found out someone has fraudulently used my identity to purchase items on credit!! I haven't purchased anything on finance in over 15 years. I've called the company who sent me letter of arrears and they are going to investigate. I've also sent them an unsigned letter stating I am not the person who took out finance with them - recorded post. I logged on to my Noddle account and this fraudulent purchase is showing. Account was set up in December 2018. I have disputed the account on Noddle. I've also put the details of this on the Action Fraud website. Is there anything else that I can or should do to get the matter resolved? I understand identity fraud is not seen as a crime as I have not suffered financial loss, but as you can well imagine it can result in a bad credit score and affect my future plans.

You've done what you need to and the accounts should be removed once they've completed the investigation.

Remember to check that its been amended on all three files.

Lender wont see the actual score, but they do see the history.

Thank you for your response. How long do you think I should allow for this to be cleared up?

Thank you for your response. My concern is that I am showing in arrears for something I did not 'purchase'. Unless removed it will surely reflect badly on me.

It will, I was trying to inform you that the history is what you need to focus on.
