CCJ & Credit History

Hi, the person in question has large debt problem and a CCJ of over Fifteen thousand pounds.
If they pay this debt off in full before the end of the year, how long will this remain on their credit file?
After the debt is paid, do they have to apply to the court for a document to prove that the debt has been paid off?
Are there any organisations who could advise them on how rebuild their credit history, after they have completed the above tasks?

Thanks if anyone can help.

The CCJ will show as settled but remain on their file for 6 years from its start date.

If cleared within 30 days of judgement, it can be removed.

They don't need any organisations. They need to manage credit responsibly and build good history.

If they need specific advice, they can post here.
