Needed a good lol this morning!
Like they couldn't take a mobile phone outside into the lovely 4G Lancashire air and take a look.

As they won't engage give them a LBA and haul their warped asses to court.

This youtube video is an eye opener around how easy some doors to break into are - if you look at the foam ones you can see why they are cheap.

  • We are in the same process and having looked at the forum I can't see any advice that is really up to date. There is a lot of mention of Solidor and Rockdoor but both have got a lot of poor reviews over the past couple of years especially concerning warping and the unhelpful nature of the manufacturer to resolving issues. There are a lack of reviews on the many other alternatives so we are finding it impossible to to make a decision. One supplier has suggested Endurance and we are awaiting a call from one of their installers but we note that they appear to have an acrylic finish (not GRP?) and we don't understand the implications of that. We've had two quotes one from Value Doors and one from a local company using the Visage range (made by Shepley) - the second being nearly 50% more than the second. Despite asking for a justification for that difference, we haven't got anything sufficient to help us make a  choice. At the moment, we are rather inclined to forget the whole idea!
Can anyone give us some useful advice?

bear in mind a lot of the trustpilot issues will come down to the fitter used. Find a fitter and look at their trustpilot reviews and ask their opinion
  • I'm similar, looking at installing a new door and can't find a lot of up to date recommendations.  I'm  looking at either a Palladio or Apeer composite door, any recommendations?
