SuperDeal & Flexiheat

Hey there.

Ok. About 3 weeks ago with two friends I moved into a flat, which is all electric. Fine. Now, after a big issue with there being NOTHING to explain ANYTHING left for us from the landlords (who had only recently purchased it and set everything up) and no info forthcoming it seemed ever, I eventually found out that we are with Southern Electric on SuperDeal. Ok.

We have storage heaters, the old manual kind and a fancy new water heater tank. Could not get this to make much more than a trickle of water. After phoning the manufacturer I was told that of it's two elements the bottom one should be always on as it would be wired to our meter to use Economy 7 or similar (this is before I learned of SuperDeal) and would be swtiched on when the cheap rate kicked in. The top element is for regular top ups on regualr electricity.

I phoned Southern Electric and spoke to them about it and after describing oujr meter, which is very high tech and confusing found that there are three outputs 'Water Heater', 'Storage Heaters' and 'Main'. The water people were correct it seems, which is fine.

Now, my problem is that I have spoken to 4 different people about SuperDeal and got 4 different answers about how and when it works. Please, please help me! When do I get cheap rate and when am I paying through the nose? What times does what kick in and is Flexiheat better?

Anything you an tell me would be greatley appreciated.
