If someone does not receive a gas bill for several years after moving into a new property, I hear that there is a maximum period of time/amount of fuel which the new tenant is laible for. is the builder likely to be receiving bills or is it likely that no company has adopted the supply? THANKS!

As of July you can be backdated 1 year if no bills are raised.
It seems very common that people are not getting bills for long periods. I doubt the builder will be getting bills(or at least paying them)0 -
Cardew is right, it is now 1 year in this case. The builder won't be paying now and may have closed an account. Their will be a Supplier in place though.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0
