How to convert photos into cartoon?

Hello,

I have got Adobe CS2 and can use it to a basic level but would like to try and convert a photo into a cartoon as seen on scanner darkley - or similar?

Does anyone have any ideas?

Use Google search for free photoshop action cartoon, here is one I found, Google says 2,330,000 results so i will leave the rest to you

You need to explore with the Filters in Photoshop, essentially you need to reduce the colours and flatten the look, a combination of filters, levels and curves will give the required result, just experiment!

i use the same/similar method with PS.
