First forget about the 14 days to pay
You don't intend to do you?
Read up on this in the newbies faq thread to get an idea of how to deal with this
Is there any reason why they couldn't contact you earlier?
Eg house move/DVLA not given new address by the keeper, etc0 -
Just recieved a letter from bwlegal... their client premier park limited.
So now they are reduced to using the utterly useless roboclaim firm BW Legal for some claims - hilarious. And the date 13 December 2015...and that it was an overstay and which car park...... halfords.. think this is where you can stay so many hours only..... rarely use that car park so not sure.!
Any idea what to do ?
Second obvious thing is to send PP a SAR by email, to get all letters & photos, as explained in detail in the 2nd post of NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST. If there was an old address used, you also need to email a rectification notice and erasure notice, to make PP erase the old address and ONLY use the new one.
And then to read the rest of the 2nd post there so you are ready for a real LBC (if this letter just gives 14 days it's not a real LBC - just a threatogram).
DO NOT GO RINGING THEM, AT ALL.
DO NOT PAY - THAT IS MADNESS AS THEY'VE ADDED SUMS THEY CAN'T CLAIM!

If you are not the registered keeper or the driver, to whom is the letter addressed?0
-
Are you the registered keeper named on the V5c and are the details on the V5c correct?
Please don't guess like an awful lot of people do. Go and look at the thing.0 -
so I've tried reading the newbies thread and barely understand a word of it.
It is written in plain English and everything is explained with examples and links.
Tell me you are not just looking at it thinking:
''that's a lot of words, I can't be bothered to read that and I want someone to repeat it all in little snippets on my thread, as I'm sure they have time''.So what is my next step?
You also posted that question AFTER I typed in my earlier reply:''Obviously STEP 1 is...''

Do NOT try to read this forum on a mobile - it's not possible. Honestly.
We say this to people ALL the time - get off the phone, please.
We can help you when you've switched to a laptop or PC, and we will help. If that means waiting till you are at someone else's house then sobeit. Come back later on.
Come back when you have read the NEWBIES thread about a SAR. I wrote the NEWBIES thread so I know that it's a lot of words but that it's easy to read on a laptop.
You CANNOT use this forum on a mobile and would have no hope at all of defeating a later court claim, if you do not put that phone down. So start as you mean to go on.
Nothing to stop you doing the STEP 1 I advised already.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I reckon just come off the phone, amyegg2k.
No poster here should be using a phone - you can see that for yourself - it's not working for you is it? Anyone with a threatened claim CANNOT use this forum like this.

Thanks for all your help but If I wanted sarcasm and wit I would have asked my 3 year old kid.
The tiny number of volunteers deal with at least 100 different cases every day of the week, year round. The only way this works is if new posters get a firm understanding, via the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, of the game in which they are ensnared, then advice from regulars will be that much more effective - otherwise this forum would simply implode from the weight of cases. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
