Options
Going to Turkey in June ad i'm just wondering what is the best travel card to take with me. Pros and cons would be great for anyone that has used any.

Thanks

I use both Monzo and Starling. For purchases, they both work as any other debit card, no foreign exchange fees if paying in local currency, instant notification received by the app on your mobile.
For withdrawing cash, Starling has the advantage of a £350/day limit without foreign exchange fees, whereas Monzo only allows £200/month without foreign exchange fees.
Both Monzo and Starling are mobile app based banks, so if you are uncomfortable with this, then maybe not best for you.

Can't comment on Revolut, not used it, daresay others who have will in due course

I have all three and use mine in Turkey. I mainly just use Starling now and keep the rest as backup. Brilliant cards.

I have a revolut card, used it in Rome this year, going to Turkey next week and planning on using it then too. Works well.

We ditched Monzo in favour of Starling, which is excellent.

The critical drawback of the former is the very restrictive maximum amount that can be withdrawn over a 30 day period before fees apply - see message #2 above.

The Barclaycard Platinum Cashback plus credit card is also a top pick - no fees until 2023 for ATM use and goods & services abroad.

    We use both on holiday.
