Baldricks' Guzzi Workshop would be the next closest to me, so I can consider trying them in future.
The parts were originally ordered last September. Even then, I got the default warnings about a potential lengthy wait... but the 2nd lot turned up quick enough after I complained. I suppose one could argue that the 2nd lot arrived quicker because the supplier already had them in stock from the first time, but who knows. But then we'd be guilty of continually sucking up this kind of BS, always giving them the benefit of the doubt, when what should be happening is customers standing up and saying we've had enough of this laissez-faire Italian attitude to parts supply. I sure don't mind doing it, even if that puts me in a minority of one. I'm not expecting 24-hour or even 7-day delivery, but I would have thought 2 - 4 weeks should be plenty for any (efficient) supply chain. Have we been so conditioned to accept that Italy doesn't (and therefore won't ever) march to the same beat as everyone else? I digress, rant over.
I presume you've also asked the club?

Sit down and ask yourself what would have you coming away thinking "Yep, I've paid a fair price considering the ballache" - then start a bit higher and be prepared to come down.
Thanks, I'll think on that. I could begin at a figure of six months' road tax, insurance and breakdown cover, but I feel like that's the least I can accept.
