Safestyle uk

Hi

Does anyone have anything good to say about safestyle UK?

They came round today as I asked for a quote for a composite door, there was no hard pressure selling, I found a product I liked, went through all the options and finance etc and had the usual "today only price" bs im used to now

I told them I'd think about it and then asked for discounted price when a manager called me, he offered me s much better price than 2 other local companies for what I want

They all seem decent but reading some comments about then and hearing they were on watchdog sometime ago leaves me about worried, any good experiences with them?

Thanks

Had a door fitted by them a couple of years ago - took about 3 doors and 4 visits to get it right! Chrome door fittings are now corroded as well. Challenged them and they agreed to accept a £500 discount for the poor service so the door was finally fairly priced. Avoid like the plague!!!

Anyone who does the 'today only price' should be avoided. That still counts as pressure selling in my book.

Thanks, their lack of knowing who said what and then going back on their quote out me off in the end anyway, maybe I just dodged a bullet, thanks

horrid , horrid people..especially where the elderly are concerned .. Tried so hard to reverse an order my late mother put in, but as she was of sound mind and no PA they ripped her off good and proper.

Any company that tries those selling tricks ‘sign today and I’ll give you a 50% discount’ and ‘I’ll just call the office see if I can get a better deal for you’ should be avoided like the plague. I kicked a d/glazing salesman from a well known national company out the house for the nonsense he tried!

My advice, get a personal recommendation for one or two good local small independent company and check them out . They’re usually cheaper, supply better quality products and likely to have much better customer care.

Safestyle no doubt install hundreds of windows & doors every week with satisfied customers, it's the luck of the draw.

The problem is that if you are one of the unlucky ones that has their order cocked up or assigned crap installers, your going to be forever on hold to call centres and waiting in for unknown 'technicians' trying to get it sorted out.

Save yourself the risk of loads of hassle and employ a local independent firm with a good reputation to uphold.

They installed our front door in the last house we lived in.

They matched the quote of our local tradesman (who had a 5 month waiting list) and it was fitted without hassle.

(Our previous door was wooden and could be opened by kicking it!)

I generally prefer to use local tradespeople but cannot fault the service provided by safe style.

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • I remember seeing a couple of threads about them on this forums a while back, and "avoid " was the general consensus .
Then I saw that dreadful advert on the telly with the woman dancing around singing for a couple of years . Haven't seen it this year tho..
