I have just put my googlemail settings into my Ootlook Express accounts - the same settings as my other googlemail account that collects ok and when I try to collect emails on this new account it keeps asking for my password I re-enter it I know it's correct but it keeps on asking.
Does anyone know whats happennning/wrong?
Can someone remind me of the correct settings?

Hi,
Googlemail uses a secure connection for POP access.
Instructions for configuring you mail client are at: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/topic.py?topic=1555
All the best,

Thank you for your reply, I have done all that and it still keeps asking to confirm password0 -
Can you check the following
Open Outlook Express
Click Tools | Accounts
Click Mail
Highlight your Googlemail account
Click Properties
Click Advanced Tab
Check that the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) this server requires a secure connection (SSL) is checked and the number in the box is 465 and the Incoming Mail (POP) this server requires a secure connection (SSL) is checked and the number in the box is 995
Now click the Servers tab and check that the My server requires authentication is checked, that your email address is correct and your password is too, (it is case sensitive) and that remember password is checked
Click Apply then OK0 -
You probably need to enable pop in your googlemail email account.
Surf to your online googlemail account and log in. Click on settings (top right)>click on the "Forwarding and POP" tab>tick one of these two if your pop is not enabled for your account
Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been downloaded)
Enable POP only for mail that arrives from now on0 -
