Cancelled appointment
I have boiler cover with SSE and booked for the annual service which was scheduled for today.
I received several text messages form SSE confirming the appointment today and received the last text message yesterday confirming that their engineer will attend.
I have just received a call from SSE stating that due to circumstances beyond their control, my annual service has been cancelled. After pressing them, they stated that they have been inundated with work over the last few days and haven't been able to catch-up.
I have had to book another appointment and asked them about compensation for the cancelled appointment which they stated that they do not offer.
Is this right?

Depends upon their terms and conditions .
It has no law giving compo for a missed appontment .0
