Good morning everyone :hello:
It's a lovely sunny morning here and forecast to get even warmer this afternoon. We have the grandchildren here for the day and they are sleeping over tonight as well. They have been earning their keep by helping Lee bring the shopping in and helping to put it away.
Lee is the only one here today as Phoebe is in work and Lilly went to stay with her friend yesterday. He did plan to go to the gym but I have asked him to go tomorrow so he can help entertain the kids. Saying that however, my grandson is watching drivel on youtube and my grand daughter is drawing a beautiful picture of a mermaid so Lee has disappeared upstairs for a bit. He is going to take them to Tesco later to buy the ingredients for a coke float as he has never had one.
We are going to have a chinese takeaway for dinner tonight as a special treat. I have to order extra fortune cookies as well as the grandkids love them. Tomorrow I will be back on the straight and narrow with a campfire stew scheduled for dinner.
Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx0 -
Hi everyone...just been having a catch-up.
I came home yesterday after a lovely 5 days in Stockholm visiting eldest DD. It was so good to see her again...lots of talking and eating cake and lots and lots of walking. Stockholm is a lovely city with beautiful old buildings....very hilly though! I stayed with DD in her little apartment which is really nice and also went to see her new little house which she's moving into at the end of the month. She loved the apartment and the area but it's too expensive to stay in long term....she had it rent free for the first three months .Her new house is tiny...and very cute! Perfect just for one person and she has her own garden which she's pleased about as she'll be able to sit outside. It's a little bit further out but only 15 minutes by train into the city.
Went down to youngest DDs last night and had lots of cuddles with little granddaughter....shes grown just in the week since I'd seen her. She's still on oxygen but comes off it for 2 hours a day now, so she's progressing really well. She had a hospital appointment today to check her hips,,,DD texted to say everythings fine.
Just been having a lazy pottering about sort of day today. Will go down to my mam and dads later for tea and I ordered a strimmer which I'll collect from Argos. Might manage to get the garden tidied up before I go back to work on Tuesday if the weather stays nice.
Hope everyone has a good day0 -
I go on a website called KRIS and they have a free jigsaw everyday on my laptop and its brilliant.Lots of freebie jigsaws on the net, I can get quite into them at times
anyway good afternoon and hello to everyone I had a nice break on the Isle of Wight and although the weather was a bit hit and miss mainly it was OK and the dogs loved racing along the beach at Yaverland.
I picked up DGS Jack from Uni last Saturday after I had got home so I have had a few days putting my trotters up for a change .
Life is getting back to normal and only another 17 weeks until we trundle back down to our beloved island again ,this time it will be our family fortnight holiday instead of just a few days .No wi-fi reception where we were last week so I read and knitted instead and the boys had a great time fishing .DGS Ben came with us and he has got the bug for chess and we have had a good few games over the past few days
Hope all is well with everyone and you all have a good break coming up over the Easter weekend Fingers crossed the weather will perk up a bit.
My eldest DGS Danny and his wife Hayley are flying over from the USA for three weeks, and he arrives this Sunday and I am really looking forward to seeing him in the flesh as I have only spoken to him via Facetime for the past two years, it will be the best Easter present I could have and he is in line for a good few hugs
Take care chums and enjoy the spring weather, the blossoms are out and its looking glorious in the Garden of England at the moment
Cheers chums JackieO xxx0 -
Afternoon all John and I went out on the bus to Bedminster this morning About a 15 mins ride. Not too bumpy and we didn't have to wait long for a bus. Met Dd and Dgs so took him for coffee while DD had a chipped gel nail repaired. He is really very well behaved and very grown up. 5 next month. Where did that go? Mind you DD has put in alot of work on his behaviour.
Back home for a bit of a sit down. The Tosco order is due between 3 and 4pm. Very mild out this morning. I wore a three quarter length sleeved t shirt and Spring jacket. Happy days!
Well enjoy the weather whatever you ate doing.

At the local hospital this morning to get my new hearing aids. I had to make OH turn the TV down when I got home, it was too loud!! Makes such a difference being able to hear clearly.
Been busy sorting out fabric. I am giving up quilting, contacted a friend who runs a group that make quilts for care homes and premie babies. Once I have sorted everything out she will come over and collect it. I am keeping some fabric for bags and also Christmas fabric. I am just not going to make large quilts any more.
The garden is on going. OH is doing what he can. The chap comes to cut the grass every other week, as done my cleaning lady. WE went to a new garden centre last weekend, found compost £2.50 less for 3 bags than we paid at our usual centre.
Looking forward to a few days holiday at the beginning of next month.0
