Debt and meter swaps

Hi all.

Our home fuel is in my partners name but she doesn't have good credit history. We want to change from pre pay meter but read on the main site that the energy company may not swap meters due to the credit history.

Would it be best to change to my name then swap it or try in her name and if it fails, then change account to my name?

Any help appre iared

Thanks

I wouldn't bother, you could end up paying more as the prepayment cap's keeps prices at the near the same level as direct debit.
