Nationwide can't transfer Money?

Apparently Nationwide don't allow you to transfer money between accounts through telephone banking. It's a new rule they've introduced.
Does anyone know why they have introduced this? Now I have to set up online banking or go to the branch to physically transfer the money. And surprise surprise, setting up online banking may involve having a passcode sent to me which may take days. Really inconvenient for me as I don't always have access to the internet. What is the point of telephone banking!

Their website says that you can transfer money using telephone banking instantly between the following accounts held in your name: any Nationwide current account, e-Savings, Monthly Income 60+, InvestDirect, CashBuilder, Cash ISA and Smart Account.

So if it's one of the above you want to do, and it doesn't work, you should ask them why it doesn't.0 -
Thank you Colsten. I managed to talk to someone who didn't come from 'the computer says no' school of customer service and I sorted it out.0
