checkout fee confusion

Here is what happened:
We moved in on 01/02/2017, we signed an assured shorthold tenancy agreement.
it had this point in it:
"3.2.2 Whereby an inventory is performed at the start of the contract paid for by
your landlord, you will be liable for a checkout fee of £85 which is payable on the
day that your checkout is performed."
Next year 01/02/1018 we signed a single paged extension to it, life moved on. ..
In beginning of 2019, the landlord sent a brand new contract, which had no mention of checkout fee ( and also modified the breaking clause, which she forgot the point out, ) it was a brand new template, still assured shorthold
2 days after the new contract started, the landlady gave us a notice ( which was not fair but we accepted it), now that we moved out, she wants us to pay the checkout fee, which was only in the first contract, but not in the new one...
what do u guys think, do we have to pay the checkout fee or not?
we really !!!!ed the she kicked us out just after 2 days the new contract came into play.
