what a stupid thing to say ! " my responsability", it was a genuine error, " have you never made a mistake", or are you perfect !,the fact is they " LIED" to me ,firstly telling me theres no appeal process, and secondly telling me my fine would be put on hold until the appeal process was heard, "THATS FRAUD", or is it that everyones GUILTY until proved INNIOCENT",ive allready spoken to the omnwoodsman who told me to firstly put a complaint in, failing that they would then get involved on my behalf { are they wrong to}, i put this thread up on here thinking the responses would be " constructive", not stupid, " oh well", you live and learn !.0

You should really start your own thread if you need help. Just ranting as you are doesn't help. Leave out all the quotes, capital letters, exclamation marks. Just give brief details in sequence of what happened, then somebody can probably advise you as to what would be the best way to move forward.0 -
Sending them a copy of a bank statement confirming that you receive ESA will not be sufficient because this doesn't confirm whether your ESA is income based or contribution based. You need o supply a copy of your award letter confirming that you received income based ESA, the bank statement will provide support that you were receiving ESA at the relevant time. If you cannot find your ESA award letter ring DWP and they will supply a proof of benefit letter.
This is two different problems from different people, but I sent the award letter and they rejected it, a call to them revealed I needed the DWP or jobcentre plus to type up a letter confirming dates started and ended of the benefit in question with no breaks in between. The award letter wasn't enough.0 -
Just to complete the original post. I called them, found out they wouldn't accept anything but a jobcentre plus letter/DWP giving dates, benefit and confirming no breaks in between on the date in question.
I recorded the phone call to a nice enough lady at the NHSBSA helpdesk (recorded for training purposes!! Good free (ads) android app called Call U, saves both sides of the conversation) I was told the extra fines would be put on hold for 14 days so I had time to get the proof to them, this ended up not being true. They kept slapping on the extras and sending more threats of debt agency's, naming the agency etc etc.
If anyone is in the same boat, they ticked the benefit they actually were on at the time, but need the right proof, please phone jobcentre plus, I had someone type out a template letter over the phone and post it to me....to send to them.
Or there is a Gov UK site you can fill in all the details and have a proof of benefit letter posted to you, to send to NHSBSA I'm not allowed to post the link being new, but it was a google search "for proof of benefit" Request your personal informations from DWP.
After sending proof they took a month to say there would be no further action.
I photograph everything I sign that goes to NHSBSA now, just in case.0
