Applying for mortgage - parents address

Hi all,
I currently live with my partner in her parent’s house as I work in London - I am not on any rental agreement to that house, nor do I pay any bills (I give her mum a couple of hundred pounds every month). I also often go back to my parent’s house in Hampshire and stay there for a week or so at a time. All of my bank accounts, companies (I am a ltd company director), phone bill, driving licence etc are registered to the Hampshire address. I am also on the electoral register there.
However I've spoken to a mortgage advisor today who said I should change my address on all my banks, phone bill, driving licence etc to my partner’s parents house in London, as that’s where I spend most of my time. They said if I keep it as Hampshire it would look dodgy on my credit history. This seems a bit bizarre to me since I have no ties currently to the London address - I could literally pack a suitcase tonight and go back to Hampshire permanently and nothing would change. If anything surely it would look more dodgy if I changed it now? Can anyone confirm if this is correct and explain further if so? It’s obviously quite a lot of admin plus the cost of getting a new driving licence if I’m just going to change it again once we’ve bought our flat. And we keep getting incorrect advice so don't want to harm our chances!
Thanks

Keep your address as it is. Where you choose to spend most of your time is irrelevant.0

What mortgage advisor ?
I hope you are using a whole market broker like everybody should. (And not one with ridiculous fees either).0 -
I did not change any of mine from my family address (where I still had all my post sent for ease and safe keeping, even though I had moved out years before) to where I was actually 'living' when I went through the process of buying my house. I had no problem from my solicitors... Just make sure that on all the paperwork where it asks for your current address, put your Hampshire address down. This will stop any confusion on your records.0

Thanks all. The advisor just called me again and said it's because the lender wouldn't believe that I commute to London as it's too far (which seems nonsense as thousands of people commute from Hampshire to London every day). So they'd think I'm lying about my address, despite having had all my mail going there for the past 18 years. Gah this seems so bizarre?0

Sounds like you need a new mortgage advisorExcuse any mis-spelt replies, there's probably a cat sat on the keyboard0 -
That's ridiculous. It isn't too far!! Same circumstances and locations, no lender questioned it for me.
Get another broker, this one sounds clueless.
Leave your addresses where they are, changing them will cause delays where credit files catch up.
Don't change them until you're physically in a new, owned property.0
