can i claim back charges

keep up the good work all
can anybody help with this ,i had a credit card with capital one a few years ago which i did not keep up payments ,i know this was wrong but i have been paying it back and have learnt from my mistake,but capital one have since passed my account over to a debt collecter ,i wrote to capital one asking for a list of charges ,when i got it i had noticed 7 charges of £18 for (overlimit fee) and 7 charges for (late payment) just wanted to know if i would still be able to claim anything back ,thanks for looking
